We can help you find the right seal.
Due to the wide variety, it is very difficult to determine suitable window seals for UPVC windows or doors of older designs.Externally, only the glass type and the year of manufacture of the glass can be recognized on the window. The manufacturers (Aubi, Roto, Winkhaus, Siegenia etc.) of the window fittings are also named. There is rarely any information on the window profile of the windows.
Even if the manufacturer of the windows is known, there is hardly any chance of determining the required window seal on the basis of article numbers. Simply put, these often no longer exist after many years, or are no longer in the manufacturer's product range.
Nevertheless, nothing is impossible and together we can find the right seals for your windows.
It is much easier to find the right gasket for wooden windows. There are only two decisive dimensions here:
1. the groove width, the lower part of the seal which is inserted into the groove ( usually this is 4 or 5 mm ).
2. the upper part of the seal - the rebate height. This is the part that lies against the wood. The rebate height is usually 10 or 12 mm.
The depth of the groove in which the seal is inserted is always sufficient at 7 - 9 mm.
Now we need your help to find your seal:
If you want it to be quick and uncomplicated, please send us a photo of the cross-section of your required window seal.Window seals are attached to the window by means of a groove. Pull your seal out of the seal groove (even if it is difficult).
You should then cut through the seal once with scissors - do not cut anything, just separate it. Fold up the gasket and take a photo of the contours of your gasket. You can then press the seal back into the groove.
You can then send us the photo using our contact form (blue button) or via WhatsApp (green button) on the homepage
In many cases, we will then be able to determine the right seal for you. Please let us know your address at the same time so that we can send you samples to try out as quickly as possible.
